Correct Operation of Cervical Collar Instruction
Proper application of any extrication collar requires two individuals.

Using the finger measurement method:Bring the fingers together and measure the vertical distance from the highest point of the patient’s trapezius muscle on the shoulder to the bottom of the chin.

Adjust the red marking position to the appropriate size of the patient,and than adjust the chin support to the size selected suitable for the patient.Lock both sides by pressing the two lock tabs.
Pay attention:make sure the lower jaw support is flipped in place.For patients of different body types, it is essential to ensure that the adjusted size are correct.

Gently slide the back piece of the cervical collar into place from the back of the patient’s neck, ensuring it is centered. Then, wrap the front piece around to the front of the neck, allowing the chin rest to firmly support the patient’s chin. Finally, fasten the Velcro straps.
