- Indicated for hallux valgus angle > 40°, metatarsal angle 16°~18°.
- Wedge shaped open osteotomy near the base, incomplete truncation.
- The plate can be placed either medially or dorsally.
- Based on mechanical analysis, the hole distribution at both ends of the plate is optimized.

Indications
- Moderate to severe hallux valgus deformity.
- The angle between the 1st and 2nd metatarsals (IMA) is greater than 13°.

Key Points
- Wedge shaped osteotomy near the base, incomplete truncation.
- Medial midline straight incision fully exposes the metatarsophalangeal joint and the proximal end of the proximal phalangeal shaft.
- A 40–60mm long medial longitudinal incision is made at the junction of the metatarsal dorsum and plantar skin.
- Incision starts from the middle of the first metatarsal shaft and extends towards the proximal end, close to the medial cuneiform bone.
- Soft tissue laxity is required.
