First Metatarsal Proximal Dorsal Osteotomy Orthopedic Plate
- Indicated for hallux valgus angle > 40°, metatarsal angle 16°~18°.
- A 4–6cm long medial longitudinal incision is made on the dorsum of the first metatarsal bone.
- Incision starts from the middle of the first metatarsal shaft and extends towards the proximal end, close to the medial cuneiform bone.
- Wedge-shaped or crescent shaped osteotomy is performed on the dorsal side.
- Suitable for both open and close osteotomy at the base.

Indications
- Moderate to severe hallux valgus deformity.
- The angle between the 1st and 2nd metatarsals (IMA) is greater than 13°.
